Answers to FAQs
1. Can you use already made objects as apart of the design?
A:  If you use objects that are already made you typically have to be the author of such object unless you are modifying it in a way that will release us from copyright infringement.  If it is an object that you created, by all means, bring any idea to the table.

2. If text is used does it have to be the same color as the design?
A:  Text should be the same color but for the design, show it as you like but understand that YAF and the AIA Atlanta reserve the right to modify the entry after selection and for cost reasons, may only be able to print one color.  It is of course our interest to keep the original intent and design to the best of our abilities.

3. How many entries can we submit?
A: You can submit as many as you like.

4.  Your contact information will be your email-all submissions should be anonymous-i.e., no markings on the actual submissions that would allow jurors to know your identity.  The committee will record your submissions with a number that coordinates to your email.  Once selection has occurred you will be contacted and the proper contact information for winners will be provided on the YAF website.

5. The design should be one color for use as a logo.  If you wish to submit with multiple colors please do but please submit one that is just one color.

6. Do shades of gray count as different colors, i.e. are black and dark gray and light gray 3 colors or just one?
A: Yes, a shade is a different color.  They can't "lighten" the black color in the print process to make a dark gray, etc.

7. Do I recreate the logo and then incorporate that logo into a t-shirt design?
A: Yes. The logo is really what goes on the t-shirt and will be used as our logo for 2011...if for some reason you wanted to use the same theme but create a t-shirt that was based on but a little different than the logo then you would submit both an image of the t-shirt design and a separate file for just the logo.
